The 250 oz Butcher's Select Huddle: Our Pack for America's 250th
America turns 250, so we built a 250-ounce tailgate pack to match. Steaks, burgers, brats, dogs, and jerky — one box, built to feed the whole huddle. Here is what is inside and how to cook it.

Two hundred and fifty years is a milestone worth grilling for. So this summer we are doing something fun at the counter: the 250 oz Butcher's Select Huddle — a single, generous pack built to feed your whole crew through the long weekend, priced to celebrate the semiquincentennial.
What is in the box
We packed 250 ounces of our most popular grilling cuts — that is just over 15 and a half pounds of meat — chosen to cover every craving at the cookout, from the centerpiece steak to the late-night snack stick.
- Four hand-cut USDA Choice ribeye steaks — the centerpiece
- Two pounds of fresh-ground burger patties from our own trim
- A pound of house bratwurst and a pound of all-beef hot dogs
- A whole brisket flat for the low-and-slow crowd
- A half pound of house beef jerky for the cooler and the road
Why a huddle?
Because the best part of the Fourth is the crowd around the grill. This pack is built to keep that huddle fed from the first burger to the fireworks — no mid-party grocery run.
A game plan for the grill
A pack this size rewards a little strategy. Stage your cook so the grill is never empty and nobody is waiting too long for the good stuff.
- 1
Days ahead — the brisket
If you want burnt ends for the party, smoke the brisket the day before. It reheats beautifully and frees up your grill on game day.
- 2
Early — dogs and brats
Get the hot dogs and brats going first. They are crowd-pleasers, they hold well, and they buy you time while the coals settle.
- 3
Prime time — burgers
Smash or grill the patties over high heat once the crowd builds. Toast the buns on the edge of the grate.
- 4
The finale — ribeyes
Save the ribeyes for when people are paying attention. Sear hard, rest, slice, and watch the huddle form.

Beef Ribeye Steaks
The four ribeyes in the Huddle are the same hand-trimmed USDA Choice steaks we sell at the case.

House Beef Jerky
Our house jerky rounds out the pack — smoked and sliced in-house in six flavors.
“Good food brought this country together for 250 years. We figure the next cookout is as good a place as any to keep the tradition going.”
— The Crystal Creek Counter
The Huddle is a limited holiday offering — ask at either counter while supplies last, and let us know if you want it built for a bigger crowd. We are happy to scale it up.
